Photographic artist Jo Howell’s sculptural cyanotype birdhouses experiment with our perceptions of functionality. These “twee and glib gremlins”, lasercut pieces of wood held in place by glue and cyanotype paper mache are too small for birds - and if displayed outside, their intricate designs would disappear.
